Richard Parker
Richard brings a skilful and unique approach to teaching West African Djembe drumming. He uses a blend of creative free playing, easy to follow techniques and uplifting rhythms, plus his extensive skills as a group facilitator. He makes everyone feel included and is great at bringing everything together, resulting in making it a super easy, rich and fun learning experience.

Drumming in Nature

A perfect opportunity to come together and drum outside in nature, with our long and (fingers crossed) warm and dry summer evenings.
With easy-to-follow rhythms and creative facilitation to inspire and encourage all to play.
Suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to those with experience who simply love to drum.
Drums can be provided, however, feel free to bring your own.
Bring your own chair (with an extra cushion to sit on and lift you up).

**Times:** 7pm - 8.30pm
**Cost:** £10 per session (+ £2 for drum hire)
**Drums:** Each participant requires a suitable hand drum. Djembe/Bougarbou drums are available to hire. **Cost £2 per session.** Let me know in advance if you would like to hire a drum.
**Booking:** If you need to hire a drum let me know, otherwise turn up and pay on arrival (cash or card).
As these sessions are held outside and weather-dependent, please keep an eye on this web page for confirmation that the session is going ahead. I will update the website dates regularly, especially on the session day. You are also welcome to get in touch to check if it is going ahead or let me know your interest in attending especially if you would like to hire a drum.

Next-level sessions - perfect for improvers & experienced players who want to hone their technique and develop their drumming & rhythmical ability to the next level.
Join us to play lots of new and exciting rhythms.
Promises to be inspiring, energising and uplifting.
African Djembe drums are available to hire.

Levels:

Beginner (newcomers or have played a little)
Improver (can play the three sounds and can hold a West African rhythm by yourself)
Experienced (can confidently play the three sounds and can pick up more complex West African rhythm patterns)

Inclusivity:

There are reduced-price tickets available for these sessions if the price is outside of your budget. Please get in touch to briefly explain your circumstances.
